Low Life Rich Kids

Almost a year after their acclaimed debut single ‘Angst’, Low Life Rich Kids are releasing their first EP ‘LLRK’ on 6 September.
The band, which was originally founded for the play ‘Über Nacht’ at Vienna's Burgtheater, quickly established itself as an independent project around the actors Mara Romei and Coco Brell and the renowned singer/songwriter Bernhard Eder and impresses with a mixture of post-punk and Neue Deutsche Welle.

The EP deals with a wide range of current topics such as social media, climate change and equality, verbal aggression, racism, sexism and homophobia.
The single ‘Anti-Woke-Generation’, for example, which made it into the top 10 of the FM4 protest song contest, is directed against those who agitate against progress and climate protection on social media.
‘100 Grad Fahrenheit’, a track from the theatre play “Sonne, los jetzt!” by Elfriede Jelinek, also addresses our dystopian future, while “Italien” is a bittersweet escape to places of longing. ‘Paralysed’ describes the mental and nervous standstill that a life in these times - full of sad news, climate crisis, social media and the eternal pursuit of self-optimisation - brings with it.

With ‘LLRK’, Low Life Rich Kids prove once again that they are among the most exciting newcomers in the German-speaking world - a band that perfectly combines musical depth and social relevance.
